Why do Muslims claim that the Bible is corrupted?

The Muslims believe that with the different version of the Bible (i.e, King James, New International Version, etc.) that the Bible
cannot be trusted as a legitimate source of God's word. What they fail to realize that the Old Testament is written in Hebrew and the New Testament is written in Greek, neither in English. These originals have NOT changed. They were translated into these versions to further our understanding of God's Word

My husband is a Muslim and I'm a
Christian. I want him to see the truth about Christianity. Can you
recommend some books that he could read?

The books I would recommend would be Islam Revealed for you, to help you understand the problems with Islam written by a Palestinian Christian whose ancestors many years ago were Muslim.

For your husband I would recommend The True Furqan. Because of the similarity of The True Furqan to the Quran in language, substance and style and also being in Classical Arabic and English, he may find it very appealing.

Please remember the power of the Word of God by suggesting he read the gospel of John.

Then on your part, praying and fasting for your husband's salvation always helps.

Does the Quran have chapter names like the Bible?

The Quran is just one book, the book has 114 chapters, which are called "Surahs", which basically means "chapters." To facilitate studying the Quran we use chapter numbers instead of titles for each chapter. However, in my book Islam Revealed I use both

Dr Shorrosh - Are you Muslim?

In the sense that I have submitted myself to God - Yes. Am I Islamic - No. Christian missionaries came to my homeland over 500 years ago and led my ancestors to Christ. I personally gave my life to Christ while I was a young man.

I have heard Muslims say that Jesus himself never claimed to be God's Son. Is this so?

Islam very often misquotes the Bible. Read John 10:30 - I and the Father are one and John 10:36 - ...why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, "I am God's Son'?

What is the full meaning of the word, MUSLIM?

The Muslims religious understanding of the word, Muslim, is "one who has surrendered one's will to Allah."

However, the original Arabic meaning of "Sal-ama", or Muslim, means "He has given up, or surrendered," as in a battle field, where the person has been defeated and has surrendered, rather than be killed. Although, the word can also mean "he has brought greetings". The usage of the word Muslim to Christians is that "one is forced into accepting or surrendering to Islam, rather than being killed".

In short, Islam as a religion, never grew until Muhammad took up the sword and waged 66 battles in 10 years throughout Arabia. History vindicates the fact that every country which accepted Islam, did so by the sword, except Indonesia. For further info, consult my book Islam Revealed.

What is the role of women in Islam?

The Quran teaches that women are to be treated as a possession, not as an equal to men. Muslim men are allowed, under Islamic Law, to have 4 wives. Women do not have any rights to their husband's property when he dies. For more detailed information, click HERE or click the Tools button above

What are the meanings of the Moon and Sword of the
Islamic symbol?

The Bible states that when God created the sun, it is called in Arabic "alnoor alakbar" which means "the greater light". We are also told that the moon is called "alnoor alasghar" meaning "the lesser light".

However, the Bedouins of Arabia reversed the order because they did not like the heat in their desert and thus called the moon "akbar". Inasmuch as the pagans before Muhammad worshiped the moon as one of their 360 idols and
gods, the moon was eventually elevated to the supreme god and called "akbar". The archeologists have found that the largest temples in Arabia were dedicated to this moon god.

Muhammad appeased the citizens of Mecca and Arabia by accepting Akbar as the supreme god with the phrase "Allahhu Akbar". It actually means "the god is akbar". You see, "elah" means "a god". But "Allah", means "the god".
Therefore, Muslims have this crescent moon on top of their mosques, they live by a lunar calendar and they have a chapter in the Quran called "the Moon". Strange enough, they do not have a chapter called "the Sun".

Finally, I must remind you that the 17 million Arab Christians hold firm to the belief that Islam is the religion of the sword, without which you would have never heard of Muhammad or his religion.

Do you have any literature to help me understand
the Islamic Relegion?

Yes. Click HERE or on the Tools button above where we have a listing of various flyers that
go into detail about specific topics in the Islamic Religion

Is Islam a peaceful religion?

Since the September 11, 2001 attacks on our country, we have heard from our Government Leaders,
The Media, and Islamic Clergy/Scholars that Islam is a peaceful religion. They further state that terrorists
are made up of only a small group of extremists. Lately, questions are starting to arise as to the validity
of those claims. The Quran has many, verses that call for violence towards anyone that does not believe
and follow the ways of Islam. But don't take our word for it, Click HERE to read them for yourself.
